Montego Bay

Between luxury hotels, wonderful beaches, many historical sites and monuments, Montego Bay is the most important city in northern Jamaica. She lives to the rhythm of reggae, swims in exotic colors, original cuisine and bewitching festivities.

History and Geography

Montego Bay affectionately known as Mobay by the natives is a city in Jamaica located on the north coast in the county of Cornwall. It has a population of around 90,000 and hosts events such as the Carribean Games. Historically, she is known for signing the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea on December 10, 1982.

The unavoidable

If you want to optimize your stay in Mobay, here are the places you can't ignore.

Rosse Hall Great House

The only advice we can give you is to avoid visiting it at night unless you are a fan of horror movies. Legend has it that this house is haunted by the ghost of Annie Palmer. We speak of the white witch of Rose Hall. It was built in 1770.

The Martha Brae River

It is a little corner of paradise with rich wildlife to discover. You can swim in the river and sunbathe in a picturesque environment.

Doctor’s Cave Beach

The story began when a doctor claimed that the waters of the bay had therapeutic properties. Since then, thousands of people have flocked from everywhere to discover this mystery. True or not, you will have the opportunity to check it out for yourself. Apart from that, nothing but the landscape is worth the trip.

Gloucester avenue

If you want to discover a trendy corner to let off steam and have a good time, you've come to the right place. It is located near Doctor’s Cave Beach and is home to plenty of souvenir shops, bars, restaurants, galleries, etc.
