No prior experience is required. The Level 1 training is designed for people starting from scratch who want to learn all the fundamentals of the travel industry. What matters most is your enthusiasm, your commitment to customer service, and your desire to learn. Everything else is built through the training and the support of the Voyages AquaTerra team.
The online training consists of 10 modules that you follow entirely at your own pace — available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. You can study from home, at work, or even while traveling. There are no imposed deadlines, making it ideal if you're already working or need to balance the program with personal responsibilities.
Level 1 is the complete online training — it's the mandatory foundation. Level 2 adds one day of in-person (or virtual) classroom training to reinforce and deepen what you learned online. Level 3 includes 4 classroom days for an even stronger command of the material. Individual coaching options are also available for those who prefer a more personalized learning experience.
Yes — that's one of the primary goals of the industry law module. This section was specifically designed to prepare candidates for the OPC certification exam, which is mandatory to practice as a travel advisor in Quebec. The training gives you the knowledge needed to approach the exam with confidence.
Not at all. One of the greatest advantages of the external advisor model is complete flexibility — you choose to work full-time or part-time based on your availability and goals. There is no minimum sales requirement and no sales pressure. Many advisors start part-time alongside another job and gradually transition as their results and motivation grow.
As an independent external travel advisor affiliated with Voyages AquaTerra, your compensation is commission-based. You earn a real percentage of the sales you make, calculated on some of the highest commission rates in the industry — and those commissions are not cut at the base. The more you sell, the more you earn. There is no fixed salary, but you enjoy complete entrepreneurial freedom.
