Environmental footprint

For more than 10 years, Voyages Aqua Terra has been aware of the impact and importance of the carbon footprint that tourist travel causes to our environment and therefore to the population and particularly to children. It is for this reason that the company has always assumed part of the compensation for C02 emissions for its customers.

Voyages Aqua Terra also educates its customers on the need to make their vacations more eco-responsible or green trips.

In 2018, our President Richard Kelly and his team took the initiative to go even further and take more meaningful action. Aqua Terra Travel has partnered with NatureLab.World, a company specializing in carbon offsetting. This association will make it possible to reach and raise awareness of even more people about the carbon offsetting of their trips and travels.

By purchasing NatureLab services to compensate for your travels, you allow NatureLab.World to develop more carbon projects and help restore degraded lands and recreate ecosystems in addition to capturing CO2.

As of today, the company has planted more than 500,000 trees in Quebec, more specifically in the greater Montreal area and in Quebec. In the next two years, NatureLab plans to plant more than 300,000 trees in the Montreal area and in the provinces. In addition, the company is currently developing a community project for the planting of bamboo on 200 hectares in Mexico, in the Campeche region.
