Hammock Cove Antigua holds fifty standalone villas, each with its own infinity-edge plunge pool, stepping down a rise overlooking Devil's Bridge National Park on the island's north-east coast. Opened in 2019, the resort is adults-only and runs on an upper-tier all-inclusive plan, with a personal ambassador assigned to every villa. Its 4.8 out of 5 on TripAdvisor places it among the finest addresses on Antigua.

Hammock Cove at a glance

Fifty villas, fifty private pools. That is the rule of the house and it places the address at once: no ordinary rooms, no shared accommodation blocks, each unit standing alone on the slope with its terrace and its infinity-edge pool facing the sea.

The resort opened in 2019 and has grown since. It is adults-only, runs on an upper-tier all-inclusive plan and belongs to Elite Island Resorts. Its 4.8 out of 5 on TripAdvisor makes it the best of the group's five Antigua addresses.

The personal ambassador: the house signature

Every villa is assigned an ambassador, one person who follows the stay from beginning to end: restaurant bookings, excursions, preferences, particular requests. It is not a butler in the classic sense, more a constant point of contact that saves you repeating yourself to five different people.

Across fifty villas the formula holds up, which is not the case everywhere it is advertised. It is the leading source of satisfaction in guest reviews, ahead of the view and ahead of the food. An AquaTerra advisor can explain how the service actually works. Call 1 866 628-6241.

Devil's Bridge: the view rather than the beach

Here is the point to grasp before booking. Hammock Cove overlooks Devil's Bridge National Park, a limestone arch carved by the Atlantic, one of the island's most spectacular natural sites. The villas step down the rise, and the view is the main product.

The property has a sand cove, but it is not a long flat beach like those on the west coast. A traveller who wants to walk a kilometre of sand each morning will be better served elsewhere; one who wants to wake above the ocean in their own pool is exactly in the right place.

Which villa to choose

Three categories. Waterview Villas and Waterfront Villas run around a hundred square metres, with position and proximity to the water as the difference. Signature Villas, launched on 17 September 2025, reach a hundred and thirty-eight square metres with a pool three times larger, an indoor wet bar and a work area separate from the bedroom.

Every villa has its own infinity-edge plunge pool. With fifty units and a returning clientele, the upper categories book far ahead in high season.

Where you eat on site

Three restaurants for fifty villas, a comfortable ratio. Sir Rob's runs the steakhouse, Irina's Bistro serves all day, and The Lighthouse handles the fine dining. The kitchen is led by executive chef Marco Festini, and wine pairings are part of the plan.

Six bars round things out: Irina's Bar, the Lighthouse Bar, On the Rocks on the beach, the Chairman's Lounge, the Nobody Knows rum bar and poolside service. For a property this size, that is generous.

Is it an all-inclusive?

Yes, and an upper-tier one. The plan covers meals in all three restaurants, drinks, wine pairings with sommelier service, and the personal ambassador. There are no coupons and no supplement restaurants.

It is an all-inclusive that does not behave like one: no wristband, no queue, no booking restrictions. Our advisors confirm the detail before you leave.

The spa, the pools and the activities

Every villa has its own infinity-edge plunge pool, alongside the estate's main pool. The Tranquility Body and Soul spa has five treatment rooms, a cold plunge, a sauna and a fitness centre.

Devil's Bridge National Park can be visited on foot from the property. No casino on site, which is consistent with the spirit of the house.

Who this resort suits

It fits couples who want the best of Antigua without the format of a large resort: a villa, a pool of their own, a view over the Atlantic and one person who handles everything. It fits honeymoons and anniversaries. It fits anyone who wants an all-inclusive without feeling like they are on one for a single moment.

Families cannot stay. Anyone wanting a long flat beach, several restaurants to choose from or a large lively estate will be better served elsewhere on the island. The minimum age also differs from that of the group's other properties: confirm it with your advisor before booking.

What to know before you book

Allow about forty minutes by road from V.C. Bird International Airport. The property lies on the east side, where the trade winds blow harder than in the west: that cools things and masks how strong the sun is.

Antigua lies inside the hurricane belt, whose season runs from 1 June to 30 November, with a peak in August and September. The East Caribbean dollar is the official currency, though US dollars circulate everywhere, and driving is on the left. For entry requirements, consult travel.gc.ca before departure.

Booking Hammock Cove with an advisor

Fifty villas, three categories and a minimum age to confirm: availability and accuracy matter more here than elsewhere. An advisor who knows the house handles both.
