Travel to United States

Travel the United States

The United States is full of beautiful places to discover. Whether you are looking for a tour package of the United States, a memorable trip on the American West Coast, or a USA-on-the-cheap style of travel, you will will not be disappointed during your stay in one of the richest and most diverse countries in the world. Indeed, it has something for every budget and every taste. Here's an overview of a tourist region that has so much to offer that, for many, one lifetime is too short to discover it.

A Diverse Climate and Topography

Composed of 50 states, the United States is bordered to the west by the Pacific Ocean, to the east by the Atlantic Ocean, and by Mexico on the south. Together, America covers a vast area that differs from from other countries because of its great variation in climate, temperature, and topography. These differ greatly from state to state.

Thus, while the southern states, such as Alabama, Georgia, Florida, Arizona, Texas, and New Mexico have subtropical, semi-arid, arid, desert – or, in the case of of Florida and Hawaii, tropical – climates, those in the northeast, such as Vermont, Maine, and New York, are subject to cold air masses in the winter, so that their climate is more like that of Quebec.

The areas in the northwest enjoy Mediterranean (California) and oceanic (Oregon) climates. As for the terrain, different regions range from flat to mountainous. And so, the climate and terrain of the United States are diverse, and this is why we can say it has something for everybody. You will be sure to find the area that you are looking for during your next trip to the USA!

The Most Popular Tourist Areas

All regions in the US can be considered tourist attractions, but there are some that the world's travellers have unanimously made their favoured tourist destinations. So there is a good chance that you will choose these areas during your next vacation in the United States.

New York, New York

The Big Apple is undoubtedly one of the most visited regions, if it's not the busiest, of the country. Both organized tours of the United States and individual tourists visit New York for its many tourist attractions, such as the Statue of Liberty, the Wall Street financial district, the 9/11 Memorial Site and museum, the tall skyscrapers – notably the Empire State Building, bustling Times Square, trendy boutiques, gourmet restaurants, famous Central Park ... to name a few.

Los Angeles, California

Hollywood, the movie capital of the world, is certainly not unrelated to the fact that Los Angeles, California, is one of the most popular travel destinations in the USA among tourists the world over.

Indeed, people go to Los Angeles to visit its famous districts such as Hollywood, where one finds the world's greatest density of movie stars per square foot, or to stroll along the famous Rodeo Drive, where Pretty Woman with Julia Roberts was filmed. Besides these two attractions, Los Angeles is renowned for the quality of its theme parks, including Universal Studios Hollywood, where you can visit many of the shooting locations for movies made in the studio.

Florida

With the exception of Hawaii, Florida is the southernmost region of the United States and the cities of Miami and Orlando mostly steal the show. Each year, millions of tourists tread the sands of Floridian beaches, among the most beautiful in the world and to witness dazzling performances by artists at Walt Disney World ... or by animals from SeaWorld.

The small town of Key West is also very popular with tourists, especially artists, writers, and gays who go there to enjoy its tranquility, its hospitality, and its beautiful crystal-clear beaches. In the centre of Key West is the plaque acknowledging it as the Southernmost Point of mainland United States.

Las Vegas, Nevada

During any trip to the West Coast of the USA, the sparkling and vibrant city of Las Vegas is worth seeing. Nicknamed Sin City, it is renowned for its upscale gastronomy, luxurious hotels, including some of the most imposing and splendid anywhere in the world, and its many casinos, restaurants, and shops that make sure that you return home from Vegas either very rich or very poor. Either way, you will return home full of memories!

San Diego, California

Still on the West Coast of the United States, the San Diego area is unforgettable, thanks to its proximity to the Pacific Ocean, its steep streets, and its Mediterranean climate that keeps it sunny almost all year long.

Second largest city in California, San Diego is a must on your next trip of places to visit in the United States. Sandy beaches, historic districts, zoos, and theme parks are just some of the many attractions that it has to offer you on during your trip to the USA.

Chicago, Illinois

Among other must-see destinations to put on the list of your vacation in the United States is the city of Chicago. The horizon formed by the towering downtown skyscrapers overlooking the azure shores of Lake Michigan is worth seeing on its own. In fact, there are many other good reasons to visit the third most populous city in the United States: attractions galore, upscale boutiques, jazz and other musical performances, idyllic beaches, etc.

Of course, when one thinks of the words “Travel USA,” those destinations top the list, but keep in mind that the country also has many other beautiful sites just waiting to be discovered.
