Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass

Starting July 24, 2024, Disney is implementing changes to the Lightning Lane Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane services, used for acquiring fast passes for attractions at both Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resort. Farewell to Disney Genie+ and Individual Lightning Lane, and welcome to Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass. For Disneyland, only the name changes, the functionality remains the same as it is now.

Here are all the changes and details regarding Walt Disney World Resort:

• Access to regular queues (stand-by queue) and virtual queues is still free. Purchasing passes to access Lightning Lane fast lines is an option, not a requirement.
• Purchasing and using Lightning Lane passes is done exclusively through the My Disney Experience app. It’s important to be familiar with the app and ensure all members of your group are in the Family & Friends List. One person in the group can reserve and/or purchase for everyone. Note that the app is only available in English.
• It will be possible to book all the days of your trip, up to a maximum of 14 days, in one go for three attractions per day, starting 7 days before your arrival. In the app menu, there will be a new section to view and modify your Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass selections as needed. This is to facilitate usage.
• The Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass are paid services, separately, with different lists of attractions. It will be possible to book both services simultaneously for the entire group of travelers. Once you are eligible, you can purchase the service for all the days of the trip, no more waking up at 6:45 AM every morning of your stay! Even better, you can choose your experiences before spending money. If the attractions you want are not available, just skip the purchase.

Lightning Lane Single Pass

• Guests will be able to use the Lightning Lane Single Pass entrance for some of the most requested attractions, up to two per day (different attractions), per guest, subject to availability.
• The experience times for the Lightning Lane Single Pass must be selected at the time of purchase.
• If your park tickets include Park Hopper benefits, guests can plan their Lightning Lane Single Pass experiences in advance for two different theme parks.
• Guests can purchase Lightning Lane Single Passes with or without purchasing a Lightning Lane Multi Pass.

Lightning Lane Multi Pass

• It will be possible to plan up to three Lightning Lane Multi Pass experiences in one theme park per day in advance at the time of purchase. 
• Guests will be able to use the Lightning Lane Multi Pass entrance for certain experiences during a specified return window, once per experience, per day. 
• Experiences at Magic Kingdom, Epcot, and Disney’s Hollywood Studios theme parks will be divided into two groups. Guests can plan up to one experience from group 1 and the remaining experiences from group 2 in advance. Experiences for Animal Kingdom theme park are in one group. 
• Throughout the day, once a selection has been used, a new experience can be reserved in any group (subject to availability). No limit, as long as there is availability, once per attraction. 
• If your park tickets include Park Hopper benefits, guests can choose experiences in any of the four theme parks after their first selection of the day has been used.

Additionally, with the Lightning Lane Multi Pass service, you will enjoy these extra features:

• Receive digital downloads of certain Disney PhotoPass attraction images taken in the park on the day of your purchase.
• Unlock Disney PhotoPass lenses, a special collection of Disney-themed lenses for your mobile device. Disney PhotoPass service terms and conditions apply.

When can you book the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass?

Starting July 24, 2024, your reservations can be made in advance or on the same day according to the following parameters: 

• Up to 7 days before the arrival date at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, the Swan and Dolphin, or Shades of Green for the entire duration of your stay 
• up to 14 days, from 7:00 AM EST. Up to 3 days before the validity date of your theme park ticket if staying outside Walt Disney World Resort hotels, for all days during the validity period of your tickets, from 7:00 AM EST. 
• Up to 3 days before the validity date of your theme park ticket if your ticket is undated, one day at a time for the validity period of your tickets, from 7:00 AM EST.

Which attractions are included in the Lightning Lane Multi Pass and Lightning Lane Single Pass?

As before, the list of attractions with Lightning Lane Single Pass or Lightning Lane Multi Pass can change at any time. Be sure to check the My Disney Experience app for the valid list. Some attractions may also be under maintenance during your stay.

A: A Lightning Lane Single Pass is non-refundable and non-modifiable. Lightning Lane Multi Passes can be modified as long as the window is upcoming or still active. No refunds are possible.

A: All guests aged 3 and over who wish to follow the group in the Lightning Lane queue for attractions must purchase the service and reserve the slots.

A: Prices vary according to several factors, and you will see the rates in the app before making the purchase. Taxes are added to the displayed price at the time of payment.
